Who We Are

WE ARE A REENACTING UNIT THAT CONSISTS OF MEMBERS FROM MICHIGAN, OHIO AND PENNSYLVANIA. OUR MISSION IS TO ACCURATELY PORTRAY UNITS OF THE 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION DURING WORLD WAR II.

What We Do

WE REPRESENT 1ST PLATOON, COMPANY "A" FIRST BATTALION 506TH PARACHUTE INFANTRY REGIMENT AND 2ND PLATOON, COMPANY "A" FIRST BATTALION 401ST GLIDER INFANTRY REGIMENT WHO ACTED AS 3RD BATTALION 327TH GLIDER INFANTRY REGIMENT.

How We Do It

AUTHENTICITY OF UNIFORMS, EQUIPMENT AND FIELD TACTICS IS OUR PRIORITY OF DEPICTING THE U.S. ARMY PARATROOPER OF THIS ERA. LIVING HISTORY AND PUBLIC BATTLES ARE OUR MEANS OF EDUCATING AND REMINDING PEOPLE, YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE, OF THE SACRIFICES MADE BY THESE YOUNG MEN. IN PLACES FAR FROM HOME THEY SUFFERED, OVERCAME NUMEROUS HARDSHIPS, AND DIED TO ENSURE FREEDOM FROM THE COUNTRIES THEY FAUGHT IN AND TO PRESERVE THE FREEDOM THAT WE ENJOY TODAY.

UNIT RULES & REGULATIONS
FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN IMEDIATE DISMISAL

  1. MEMBERSHIP: In order to become a member in good standing you must obtain a membership with TSG (Twentieth Century Tactical Studies Group) or HRS (Historical Reenacting Society) within 30 days of application of membership to this unit.
  2. YEARLY DUESfor the unit go toward maintenace of this website and incidental purchases for the unit as a whole. Dues are required of each member and are payable upon application to the organization. Failure to comply will bar the member from voting at meetings, voicing preference of events or activities, holding rank, as well as potential dismissal.
  3. All male and female members will exhibit the appropriate haircut or style for the portrayal of their respective characters. Men will be clean shaven and /or appropriately groomed for whatever time period or battle being portrayed.
  4. Participants under 18 years of age require parental approval and/or accompaniment to events upon the discretion of the steering committee.
  5. Absolutely no underage drinking is permitted. Failure to comply will result in imediate discharge.
  6. Minimum gear requirements must be met within one (1) year of membership. The unit has gear for new recruits to borrow, however this is on an ebent by event basis. All equipment must be returned to its rightful owner at the end of the event. Failure to aquire the basic gear set will result in dismissal at the end of the second year.   7. RANK: TO be considered for any available promotion within the unit, the candidate must be an up to date member and available for the majority of the tactical events we attend each year. Members holding rank are asked to help out in unit matters. This is a committment to take seriously.
  8. UNIT COMMANDER: is a yearly elected position. To be eligible to run, the candidate must be a member in good standing for a minimum of two years. The candidate ust also have a good understanding of tactical situations at the platoon and squad levels. This means taking command of situations that may be less than desireable to the unit and making tough and possibly unpopular decisions. Moreover, the commander must make the majority of the tactical events attended by the unit (75%+)
  9. Voting Rights - To vote on any topic at a unit meeting or propose a topic you must be a member in good standing. On topics that affect the whole unit, all members may vote. Topics that affect the Airborne contingent may only be voted on by the Airborne contingent. This includes but is not limited to matters of rank, drill, authenticity, etc.
  10. Safety and Authenticity rules the day. We have spent thousands collectively on our impressions. If you look bad, act bad, or are in any way endangering other unit members, you will be dismissed imediately. See the links below for more details.
